since i’ve returned from taiwan, most of my time has been spent on getting used to being back, which includes fitting writing into a schedule chock a block with teaching. i’m also engaged in a few writing projects outside of the core of my research: a piece for an edited volume on pilgrimage, a paper on the politics of ritual among coastal ‘amis, and the talk i’m giving this week at the foundation for endangered languages conference in new orleans
it’s been a little busy at home, too. after a several years of saving and thinking about where to live, we seem to be moving out of wellesley and to east boston
